Thanksgiving Point Lights

We took the kids to see the lights at Thanksgiving Point.  We had not planned on getting out of the car and doing anything afterwards but when we payed to go through the lights we were informed that there were live reindeer under the water tower that we could stop by and visit if we wanted.  I did not really want to, and as you can see was not prepared to leave the car.  But after much begging and pleading from the children we caved in :)

Matt gave each of the kids a dollar to put in the Music Mans jar.

These fire pits were FANTASTIC!  Thanks to them I stayed toasty warm the whole time.

Let's Dip!

I think this is our 3rd annual Dipping Party.  All the kids made home-made pizza's and then went to town dipping all sorts of delicious treats.  My Mom spends days making all sorts of goodies for them to dip.  It is an afternoon we all look forward to!

Visit with Santa

We took all the kiddos to visit with Jolly old Saint Nick.  I missed out on Breakfast, and got there after everyone had already seen him, because I've been sick, and had some sick kids, so it took me an extra long time to get out in the morning.  The kids always look forward to this, and almost never ask for what we actually got them.  I had to laughZoe has wanted rollerblades all month longIn the short walk through the mall though on our way to see him, we walked past Build-a-Bear, so I was only a little surprised when she told him she wanted "A Christmas Build-a-Bear.  The picture of the kids sitting on his lap actually turned out really cute.  I didn't have any screamers this year.  It seems like I usually do about every other year, so this is my year off I guess.  Once I figure out my scanner, I will add that picture.

My Mom is so nice!  She took me and my little family out to lunch after since we missed the breakfast at Mimi's.  She totally didn't have to do that!  She is Awesome!

Ode to Washable Markers...

Twas your normal Monday morning, when all through the house
Not a creature was stirring, Lola was quiet as a mouse
I was down stairs cleaning the house without care
In hopes that the quietness wouldn't lead to despair
I walked to the stairs, then let out a shout
"Oh Lola dear, You okay?  Please come out"
"I'm Okay" she replied "Just painting some stuff"
"Wanna help?" She asked with a huff
I ran up the stairs quick as a flash
Swung open the door and threw open the sash
When what to my wondering eyes would appear
But 10 tiny fingers and toes, I could see them quiet clear
Oh how they sparkled, they did look quiet merry
And she laughed as she showed me, like a bowl full of jelly
I taught her what she did was wrong, I'm sure
When I quick grabbed the camera and took pictures of her
I found she used markers, and not even paint
So I laughed just a little, and didn't even faint.
And now I feel I can say without fright
Happy Washable Markers to all, and to all a Good Night :)

Christmas Sing

I am told Chase is dressed as "The Swag Man" and that Gabe is his Elf, I'm not sure where that came from but, I'm impressed!  The kids did great at their Christmas Performance.  Matt surprised me and went in late to work so that he could come along and watch.  They spent all month long singing their songs to me at home, so by the time I went to watch them I had them all memorized, and concerts are always more fun when you know the songs right? :)

Webelos Award

I am embarrassed to say I have been horrible at working on Chase's scouts with him. Thanks to some AMAZING scout leaders though, Chase was able to complete all the requirements to earn his Webelos award.  He was very excited!  The scout leaders had the funnest pack meeting where they let the kids make home-made candles and flash lights.  I hope they don't get released before Scott gets in there... That's a long time to be in scouting, but maybe I could convince both them and the Bishop that it is for a worthy cause :)

Lunch at The Pie

After playing at the pool we had a little birthday party for Caellum, Liam, and Tad.

The next day after playing at the pool again for HOURS :) we met my Grandparents at "The Pie" for lunch. Good food and good company, what more could you ask for?
