Birthday Girls...

Aspen and Zoe both have birthdays in June. Aspens is the 14th and Zoe's is the 28th. And then Lola's is on the 5th of July (one week after Zoe). So we clumped them all together and threw a BIG Birthday BASH! We dedicated an entire day to partying...We got dressed up in their B-day shirts and headbands...Then Matt and I took the girls out for Lunch. They wanted Pizza, so we were going to go to Shakeys, but we have a hard time getting them to finish just one piece of pizza so we thought a buffet would be a waste!! So we went the next best place... Costco. Awesome Huh!!After lunch it was off to Dippidee's for Root Beer Float cupcakes. MMmmm!Then came the long awaited ear piercing. This was on our list of things to do this year with Matt, so I will post the entire story about this on Matt's Birthday Blog. But let"s just say, a pictures worth a thousand words...After we got done piercing their ears we headed home to get ready for THE PARTY. We had both of our families over for a back yard BBQ. And wouldn't you know it, it totally started POURING RAIN! So other than that, and the total CHAOS that followed as we tried to do presents and cake in my family room with 40 people. The night was FANTASTIC! We hung out, played games, and ate good food.Lola is my first baby to not go CRAZY with her cake. She tried a bite, and decided she wasn't that impressed.So she started rubbing it all over her body instead.In honor of the girls getting their ears pierced, we decided to do a Jewelry party. While the boys played out back (after it stopped raining) the girls stayed inside and made earrings.Well it was mostly girls. Chase and Russ lost the game they were playing, so they came in for a break and ended up staying in the rest of the night making earrings for their GIRLFRIENDS (Chase doesn't really have a girlfriend, but there is a cute little girl in our ward that he has a HUGE crush on. We tried telling him to take it easy, that giving her 10 pairs of earrings might be a little much but he wasn't hearing it.)

The First of Many...

We made it up the canyon this week, and we can't wait to go again! It is such a fun Family Outing!Chase is our Fire Starter, our Twisted Fire Starter...oooh wah wah wah (remember that song?...)

Rock Canyon Park

This park is in Provo, kind of by the Temple. I had never been here before, but it was so much fun. It is just a huge grass field, and along the edge of it there is a river that runs through it. It is not fast or deep, but it is fast enough, and deep enough for the kids to ride their tubes down it. Lola was so cute. We were there for hours, and she spent the whole time crawling around getting into everybody's food.They had so much fun. My friend brought these water gun's and the kids had a hay day with them. They would throw them in the river and then chase after them, or just squirt each other with them.So which picture do you think came first?... It is the second one. Scott totally squirt his friend but look how mad he was when he got squirt back.I was playfully telling Scott not to shoot me while I was taking this picture, but he interpreted that as "she wants me to shoot her". So my camera got a little shower... Oops!The water was FREEZING... Which would explain these next couple of pictures...

Memorial Day 2011

We had a nice memorial day. The weather wasn't great, but we still did some fun stuff. We took our kids to a park and played butt ball (aka wall ball) and 4 square. When is the last time you played either of those games? It's been a while for me too, but they were fun! Afterwards, we had planned on going swimming, but they had already uncovered the pool and it wasn't nearly warm enough. So since we were all dressed up with nowhere to go, we did the next best thing, Hot tubing! That night we went over to Gardner's for some dinner. And then we headed over to the cemetery to decorate BJ's grave. Our kids act like the cemetery is a playground. They run around and wrestle, It's probably not appropriate but they love going.
Scott was loving this windmill. He was blowing on it so fast and hard I was nervous he was going to pass out.Matt's a DORK! But he's fun, I'm crazy about him! I think this was his SEXY face.And if I remember right, this was his CHARMING face.
