My Favorite Age...

2 is my favorite age! I'm being completely serious. I haven't had a TERRIBLE 2 year old yet. I have had 4 very naughty 2 year olds, but none of them were snotty, in my experience that comes when they are 3. (Poor 3 year olds have it rough though. For 2 years of their life everything they do is just adorable, weather it's call you a bad name, or dump out all the soap in the bathroom to make a potion. And then they turn 3 and it's not funny anymore.) Anyway, Scott is Hilarious. We laugh at everything he does. And some of it is very naughty, It is just so darn funny coming from him. At the end of each day I write in my journal and I try to think of the funny or random things the kids may have said or done that day, and as I was looking back at my journal today I noticed 90% of it came from Scott. Here are just a few...

...............

Chase: “Scott you better get out of the pantry or Mom’s going to kill you.”

Scott: “Nuh uh, She doesn’t even have a sword.”

.......................

Scott: “Mom if I take a nap today, can I not take a nap for the rest of the days.?”

Me: “No you still have to take one the rest of the days”

Scott “please, I will take one today and then I won’t be tierd on the rest of the days.”

Me: “We’ll see. Maybe if you take good naps all week you won’t have to take one on Sunday.”

Scott: “Well actually I am going to be really tired on Sunday, so I’ll still just take a nap on Sunday. It’s Fine.”

Me Thinking… Um what just happened there?

......................

Chase and Scott were in the bath and Scott took a big gulp of water, Chase said “Gross Scott don’t drink the water” and Scott said “It’s okay, I haven’t peed in it yet.”

........................

Yesterday we were driving and Aspen was quoting a movie and she said “I’m going to say a bad word, It’s a really bad one… GUTS! And Scott said “Guts isn’t really a bad word, but Crap face probably is.”

.....................

Zoe came down stairs and said “Mom, Scott is being so rude he keeps saying shut up, shut up, shut up, over and over again. And I said “well what are you saying to him?” and she said “I’m just telling him to stop drinking the benedryl” I then rush upstairs to get him (he wasn’t really drinking benedryl) but he was holding it in his hand and he was pretending to drink it. So I tried telling him how dangerous that was, and I told him if he really did drink it we would have to take him to the hospital and they would have to stick a hose down his throat into his belly and suck out all the medicine and Scott said “Well I really like hoses” and I said “this isn’t a fun hose it’s a owie hose” and Scott said “Mom, that don’t make any sense” and he walked off.

.......................

I asked Scott if he wanted me to put a movie on for him and he said "Ya, but I probably shouldn't watch any more naughty movies because they teach me to say things like... Shut up or I'm going to kill you, and sometime they make me think about God."

Fashonista!!

Do you have any pictures of yourself growing up that you look at and say "Mom, please tell me you didn't let me out of the house looking like this"? Well I have a feeling Zoe is going to have a lot of those. And guess what... She doesn't just make it out of the house for a quick trip to the grocery store. Oh no, she goes to school, church, dance, and friends house sporting some very interesting attire. Take this day for example...

When getting dressed Zoe knows what she likes. Her jeans must be skinny! There have been many tears shed over jeans that are "Not skinny enough". Also she loves her some accessories; scarves, shrugs, necklaces, and flowers are her favorites and she often wears them all at the same time. Then there is her hair which she requests that I make "bumpy" meaning she wants it curled. I can't say that there is any consistency in the picking of her shoes other than the fact that they NEVER match her outfit. The make-up is the one thing she doesn't often make it out of the house wearing, but when she can get her hands on some she goes straight for the lipstick and applies every one she can find over and over and over again until her lips are as dark as possible.

So you might be asking yourself why it is that I let her parade around like this? I don't know, just picking my battles I guess. Or maybe it's because she comes in so proud of herself asking how she looks and I don't have the heart to say "kind of like a clown" So I let it go. Her teacher LOVES her crazy outfits. Every time I drop her off at school, her teacher can't help but chuckle when she says hello.

Lola Jean... 6 month update!

My Baby is 6 months! Where does the time go? I swear my last 9 days of pregnancy felt longer than the past 6 months (okay that might be a slight exaggeration, but seriously it's gone fast!)
So at her 6 month check up Lola weighed 13lbs 14oz.... which is TINY! Still bigger than either of her sisters though. She has dropped down to the 10th percentile for weight, but is still on the charts so we're okay with that! At 6 months it's time to start FOOD! And it will not come as a surprise to anyone who knows my other 4 children that she totally HATES it!But as with her brothers and sisters, a spoonful of sugar helps the medicine go down... We let her suck on a Dum Dum to distract her while I try and sneak the food in.Because she spits the food all over we don't even try to wipe her up after. We just toss her in the sink. This picture makes me laugh! That is a dish towel that we wrapped around to look like a bath towel. This is probably my favorite thing she does right now. who knew spitting could be so cute. She just makes it look so hard! When she is not spitting she is cooing. She is just so cute.Look at her little dimples and rolls! The other day Chase was holding her and singing to her. If you have seen Madagascar 2 this song will sound familiar. It went like this... "We like 'em big, we like 'em chunky. Girl you so big, so nice and plumpy. Her name is Lola, Lola. Ya, you say it double. Say my name boys (Lola! Lola!) say it again..."

FatherMoments

Last year Matt and I tried implementing a date night with the kids, but we were really hit and miss at it. So this year he decided to try something a little different. Every Friday morning he wakes up one of the kids at 5am (so early!!) and the two of them do something fun together. Chase went first, he wanted to go to Krispy Creme. Aspen was second and she wanted to warm things up a bit with some Hot tubing, Hot cocoa, and Hot cookies. Zoe is already so excited for her turn, she wants to wake up and watch a movie and eat cinnamon rolls.Matt started a website called FatherMoments.com where he journals about what they did. He is such a good Dad! I love reading about their fun mornings together. And someday I know the kids will love it too. If you want to keep up on their adventures together you can check it out!

Lexi Luu Dance Clothes

Zoe got to go help out with this photo shoot. She was just in HEAVEN! She didn't love taking the pictures (She was being kind of shy about that) but she loved all the cute clothes she got to wear. I think these pictures are so cute! Especially this one...
