Thompson Family Pictures 2010

It was time to update the Thompson family picture! In the last 2 years we have added 2 new Son-in-laws, and 5 new babies. So since we had my brother and his family here for the next couple weeks we decided to give it a try. Our photographer is Aubry Hunter, and she saved us in more ways than one this day. She filled in for her sister-in-law who couldn't make it at literally the LAST minute. We were so grateful she could come, and so happy with how they turned out. I personally would not want the job of taking a picture of 25 people, 13 of which are children under the age of 9. But she did Awesome!

Family Pictures 2010

We had our family pictures taken back in September. Our good friend Missy was nice enough to take time out of her vacation to take them for us. She wasn't at all intimidated by our CRAZY family of 7. I love how they turned out! My favorite family shot is my new blog header, and my favorite shot of each of the kids is on the side bar. Here are the left overs that hadn't made it onto the blog yet, but should have!!

Merry Christmas 2010

I can vividly remember the excitement I felt as a kid on Christmas morning. I remember wanting to go to bed as early as possible on Christmas Eve just so it would come faster. And then laying in bed what seemed like all night long WIDE AWAKE, because I was too excited to fall asleep. Well not a whole lot has changed for me. I am still anxious to get home and get to bed, I still have a hard time falling asleep, and I still wake up BEFORE everyone else. This year, I woke up around 6am with butterflies in my stomach (and a slight hunger pain, but that is beside the point) I layed there waiting until Lola woke up around 6:30, then Chase came in around 7am, we all cuddled for a while Matt got up and took a shower and made me breakfast (I really am much more pleasant when I'm fed!) And finally at 7:30 we couldn't take it anymore, It was time to wake up the others. As you can tell in these pictures they all had mixed emotions about being woken up. The first one being... "Why are you waking me up?"but then it quickly changed to "Oh Yeah! It's Christmas!"There is something almost magical about seeing your living room for the first time. You take that second to soak it all in...And then... it's "Go Time!"Santa Delivered! After we did our own thing, we went to Gardner's for breakfast. Then we went over to Thompson's. My parents did a fun BINGO game for the kids. They had TONS of fun prizes for them to choose from. The kids absolutely loved it, and they all went home with garbage bags full of stuff.
I realize this post has been all about presents and food, and that has definitely been a fun part of our Christmas. But that has not been what has made it special. I have loved spending this month celebrating the birth of our Savior. I feel the blessings of his true gospel in every aspect of my life. I hope you all do too, and wish you all a very Merry CHRISTmas!

Christmas Eve 2010

Christmas Eve was a great day from start to finish! We started out by having all the Thompson's over for a yummy breakfast. After which we all went and saw Tangled (which I thought was SUPER cute just FYI). Then later on we went over to Gardner's and did "THE USUAL" which is... home made pizza's, Lot's of JUNK, games, hot tubing, and Christmas Eve PJ's.

Here are a bunch of RANDOM pictures from the night. You'll have to excuse some of the weird facial expressions and Matt's weird hat. I really have no explanation for these things other than we were all excited, It was Christmas Eve, and some people (I won't name names) had a little more energy than they knew what to do with.
